A little hand-painted fishing shack I created. I was aiming to recreate the borderlands artstyle in combination with a little something something of my own.
To recreate the edge detection in sketchfab (since writing custom shaders isn’t available in this software) I had to use one of the oldest tricks in the book. I take the polygons of the object and double them and push them outwards a bit. After having pushed these doubled polygons, I add a fully black material to them, and flip the normals inside out. After having done this you get this effect. If I would recreate this for unreal, I would have written a post-process shader for it, but because I like sketchfab’s way of presenting meshes, this way will do just fine!
